Highly successful Ohio Nationals team joins PF Flyers
A reigning USSSA state champion team is joining the PF Flyers organization.
The Ohio Nationals 12U team (13U in 2024) will be joining the organization. The Nationals are ranked No. 1 in Ohio in USSSA and No. 4 in the state on Travel Baseball Rankings. They are ranked No. 10 nationally on USSSA and and No. 54 nationally on TBR.
The team, coached by Jason Pittser, has compiled an impressive 196-51-5 record starting at 8U, including a whopping 22 tournament championships.
“The Ohio Nationals have been one of the best coached, most impressive teams in Southwest Ohio,” PF Flyers Board President Brandon Edwards said. “We are excited to add Coach Pittser’s team to the PF Flyers and provide them with the support our organization offers to help these young men continue to grow as ballplayers.”
After going 72-17 at 8U and 9U, the Ohio Nationals went 54-12-3 at 10U with seven tournament championships, including winning a prestigious USSSA Indy Super NIT. Last season at 11U, the Nationals went 39-14-1 with five tournament championships, including winning the USSSA Open Division Ohio State Championship.
As of June 5, the Nationals are 31-8-1 with five tournament championships this season.
“After five years of tremendous success as Ohio Nationals, we are thrilled for the opportunity to join the PF Flyers Baseball Club,” Pittser said. “Their guiding principles of character, development, transparency and work ethic align perfectly with what our approach has been for the past five years. The infrastructure and momentum of this organization will provide an opportunity for our players to continue to develop as elite baseball players and young men.”
In addition to Pittser, the team is coached by Mike Chaney and Chuck Scott.
The Nationals will officially become the Flyers on August 1, after the team’s 2023 spring season concludes.
