PF Flyers 15U coming off successful high school season
The PF Flyers 15U players are coming off an excellent high school season in which nine of 14 players played for their varsity teams. Eight of those nine were freshmen.
Four Flyers earned all-conference honors as freshmen:
Brayden Schmittou earned first team all-conference for Batavia High School in the Southern Buckeye Athletic and Academic Conference. He also earned second team All-City in the Southwest Ohio Baseball Coaches Association and first team all-city in Division II in the Cincinnati Enquirer’s All-City list. Finally, he was awarded the Batavia High School Baseball Coaches Bulldog Award, which recognizes a player who has stood out for their performance, leadership and dedication on and off the field.
Rhys Canan earned second team all-conference for Walnut Hills in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference.
Luke Applegate earned special mention for Manchester High School in the Southeastern Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association. He was also named team MVP.
The following players were recognized for their academic achievements:
Lucas Basta and Ian Sukup were awarded All-Conference Academic Awards in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference for Little Miami.
Chase Obert was selected into the Assisi Scholars Program, which means he is at the top of his class academically at Roger Bacon High School.
Tommy Tahat was awarded the Principals Award for his grade-point average.
Camden Tiemeier earned academic first honors for having a 4.0 GPA.
