Brennan Bauman
9u Coach
Brennan Bauman grew up in the Cincinnati area, graduating from Milford High School. After high school, he played baseball at Bluffton University. He was a two-way player in college, and was an Academic All-Conference Award recipient all four years there and honorable mention All-Conference player.
Baseball was always a passion of Brennan’s while playing. But he fell even more in love with the sport when he started coaching after college. He went back to Milford High School to coach for two years, then was the assistant varsity coach at Seven Hills High School for two years. He also coached high school age select teams for 12 years after college. Of those teams, he has coached 21 players who have played or are currently playing college baseball.
Outside of coaching, he stays busy baseball playing in the Cincinnati adult baseball league, and he is the recruiting coordinator for UC Clermont’s baseball team.
After 12 years of coaching high school age kids, he is now moving to coaching his son and his teams. That change has reminded him that despite all the work, baseball is a kids’ game. It’s meant to be fun, and he loves to watch these guys get dirty.
His coaching philosophy has always been that of a teacher. It’s all about letting the players go play, but when teaching moments occur, he sits down and has a conversation with the player. For Brennan, it’s all about being a positive force for the team, no matter what’s happening in the game.
