Brad Schmittou

Brad Schmittou has a long career as a baseball player and coach, including serving as the pitching coach at Berea College in Berea, Ky. Before joining the PF Flyers, Brad served as a head coach in the Cincinnati Baseball Club, Cincinnati Patriots and Cincy Flames organizations.
Brad is a 1998 graduate of Princeton High School, where he was a three-year letter winner in baseball. As a senior at Princeton, he was invited to play in the Mizuno Senior All-Star Series at Ohio State University.
Brad competed collegiately at the Division I level at Eastern Kentucky University (2002-2003) for the Colonels in the Ohio Valley Conference and at the Division II level at Tusculum College (1999-2000) for the Pioneers in the South Atlantic Conference. He was a medical redshirt during the 2001 season to recover from Tommy John surgery. He was a member of the 2002 Cincinnati, Ohio Stars team that won the National Amateur Baseball Federation College Division World Series Championship. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and master’s in Sports Administration at Eastern Kentucky University.
He has a passion for coaching baseball and specializes in pitching mechanics and teaching the fundamentals of the game that will prepare players to compete today and more importantly be prepared for their future high school and hopefully collegiate careers.
Off the field, Brad has led and managed teams as an event manager and director of event services. He is currently employed by OVG360 as the director of operations at the Duke Energy Convention Center located in downtown Cincinnati. OVG360, a division of the Oakview Group, is a full-service venue management and event programming company that operates and books arenas, theaters, convention centers, and amphitheaters throughout the U.S. delivering customized management plans for each of their venues.
Brad previously worked in minor league baseball in the Houston Astros organization on the grounds crew for the Lexington Legends in Lexington, Ky., and later with the Philadelphia Phillies organization during Spring Training in Clearwater, Fla. He served as the ballpark operations assistant with the Clearwater Threshers, a Minor League Baseball team in the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Brad lives in Batavia with his wife, Kelly, son Brayden, two daughters Berkley and Lauren, and the family Labrador retriever Stella.
